Mother tinctures are hydro-alcoholic solutions obtained by mixing fresh plant material with alcohol. Mother tinctures are obtained through a slow maceration of fresh plants for 3 weeks in pure grain alcohol with a concentration between 60° and 95°. The hydro-alcoholic solution extracts the plant's active components, becoming enriched with the plant's active principles. This mixture needs to be regularly stirred and kept away from light to ensure the maceration process maximizes the plant's active principles. Afterward, the liquid is filtered to retain only the liquid solution. This extraction method ensures optimal concentration of active principles. Due to the concentration of active principles obtained through this maturation process, it is widely proven that the skincare benefits are exceptional.
